Job summary

Phyton Talent Advisors is seeking a Hands-on Controller for a fully remote role with periodic meetings in the North Jersey/NYC area. You will lead a diverse accounting team, manage the close process, and deliver accurate financial statements for a PE-backed, international SaaS organization.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, experience with SaaS revenue recognition, and collaboration with leadership on financial planning and operational initiatives.

Qualifications

• Hands-on controllership experience in a mid-sized PE-backed SaaS company.
• Experience coordinating audits and tax filings.
• Strong GAAP and financial reporting competencies across monthly/quarterly/annual closes.

Responsibilities

• Lead onshore and offshore accounting teams and mentor staff.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports for leadership.
• Oversee SaaS revenue recognition policies and GAAP compliance.
• Manage cash, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Improve accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and external advisor interactions.
• Partner with leadership on FP&A and strategic initiatives.
