Job summary

WP Engine seeks a Principal Global Compensation Manager to design and lead our global cash, bonus, and equity programs. As a senior contributor in Total Rewards, you will scale compensation frameworks, drive market-aligned pay philosophies, and champion pay transparency across a distributed workforce.

You will translate business goals into competitive pay structures, work deeply in Workday Advanced Compensation, and collaborate with executives, HR partners, and finance on job architectures,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience in high-tech/SaaS.
• At least 3 years in a lead advisory capacity.
• Hands-on configuration experience in Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Deep knowledge of global compensation structures and international markets.
• Strong modeling, data analysis, and financial planning skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead global cash, bonus, and equity compensation strategies.
• Champion global pay transparency and EU/US compliance.
• Oversee annual global merit, promotion, and equity cycles in Workday.
• Support executive compensation design and equity modeling.
• Lead job architecture, leveling, and geographic salary structures.
• Advise executives on compensation decisions and talent retention.
• Drive compensation due diligence and post-merger integration strategies.
