Job summary

Cloudpoint Geospatial is seeking a GIS Account Manager to support our Infrastructure & Utilities client base. You’ll engage utility customers and transportation agencies to optimize their ArcGIS investments, explaining GIS benefits to end users and decision-makers.

No sales experience required; candidate should have hands-on GIS work in utility/transport sectors and be comfortable in a client-facing role, travel 2–3 days/month, and collaborate with the Infrastructure & Utilities Team Leader.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on GIS experience in utilities, transportation, or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of the Esri ArcGIS platform (Pro/Online/Enterprise).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive with initiative.
• Ability to translate workflows into client benefits and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for utility, transportation and infrastructure clients.
• Conduct cold outreach by phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Educate clients on GIS best practices, including ArcGIS migrations.
• Lead client discovery meetings with support from technical staff.
• Identify client needs and opportunities for new projects and renewals.
• Coordinate scopes, quotes, and proposals with the team leader.
• Grow relationships through outreach, referrals, and networking.
• Track client activity in CRM and stay current on Esri technology.
• Travel for client meetings and events 2–3 days per month.
