Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain and repair generator sets and electrical equipment in the Elizabeth City, NC area. You will diagnose diesel and gas engine issues, perform load bank testing, and operate across multiple sites.

The role requires strong communication, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills; training is provided. Willingness to travel and adapt to job site conditions is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
• Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• Field generator service experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on generator sets (5-5000kW) and ATS, including preventive service and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot diesel or gaseous engines, ignition and fuel systems, and perform start-up/commissioning.
• Conduct load bank testing and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Assist teammates on large projects and travel to multiple sites as required.
