Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking an experienced Generator Technician Supervisor to lead the startup, service, and repair of industrial generators and related equipment. You will train and direct a team of service technicians and coordinate field operations.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and commitment to safety. Occasional overnight travel and remote work options apply as part of servicing customers across the territory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Generac Master Technician or equivalent certification and training is required.
• High level of expertise with switchgear.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage a team of technicians.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, computer, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of assigned service technicians within geographic territory.
• Evaluate performance, provide coaching and feedback, and develop training programs to improve technical knowledge and overall performance of assigned technicians.
• Identify and assign team members to provide field support and mentorship to other service technicians.
• Partner with Service Director to resolve employee performance or behavioral issues and determine staffing needs.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring of field service technicians.
• Serve as first point of contact for phone and field support, troubleshooting, emergency repair assistance, and parts delivery; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, emergency maintenance, startup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of generators and related equipment.
• Lead safety initiatives and oversight for all technicians, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Support Service Manager in reviewing work orders at all stages of project execution.
• Drive and promote continuous improvement of field operations.
• Provide customer-focused support to enhance relationships and resolve concerns.
• Assist Planning and quoting of complex service projects.
• Advise service operations team on time and materials for various service levels.
• Provide after-hours emergency response support as needed.
• Occasional overnight travel required.
