Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking an experienced Generator Technician leader to train, supervise, and direct a team of service technicians who startup, service, and repair industrial generators and related equipment, including Bypass Isolation ATS.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will drive safety, quality control, and continuous improvement while coordinating with the Service Director to resolve issues and staff needs. Remote work may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Generac Master Technician certification required.
• High level of expertise with switchgear.
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a team of technicians.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to read and interpret safety manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the work of assigned service technicians within geographic territory.
• Evaluate performance and develop training programs to improve knowledge and performance.
• Identify and assign team members for field support and mentorship.
• Recruit and hire field service technicians.
• Provide first-line support and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on generators and related equipment.
• Lead safety initiatives and QC procedures in the territory.
• Assist with planning, quoting, and material needs for service projects.
