Job summary

Sartorius seeks a Technical Sales Specialist (Gene Therapy) for the North Carolina area. This remote-based position focuses on driving new business through hands-on technical selling, demos, and trials that validate fit and accelerate adoption, with a transition plan to Central Sales for ongoing development.

You will engage customers, conduct technical demonstrations, and shape proposals, while traveling >50% to meet external customers and support the portfolio across gene therapy applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical sales, applications support, or pre-sales experience in a scientific or technical environment.
• Demonstrated hunter mindset with proven ability to identify, advance, and win new opportunities.
• Strong hands-on technical capability, including demos, trials, and customer evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Identify, reach, and engage prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.
• Plan, execute, and manage technical demos and trials to validate customer fit and accelerate adoption.
• Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support to secure adoption and collaborate with Central Sales.
