Nelnet is hiring a remote, full-time GenAI/Cloud Engineer to own the technical build and deployment of Nelnet’s GenAI solutions on Google Cloud, focusing on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. You will translate backlog items into working agentic solutions, model integrations, and data connections that meet client needs and Nelnet's engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Experience building GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
• Direct experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and grounding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants on Gemini Enterprise Platform.
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using platform capabilities.
• Integrate A2A protocol and multi-agent orchestration.
