Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a skilled GenAI Platform Engineer to own the technical build and deployment of GenAI solutions on Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise Platform. You will translate backlog items into agentic solutions, implement RAG pipelines, and integrate with client systems while ensuring quality and security.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
• Direct experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred; other platforms considered if rapid ramp-up is possible.
• Experience with RAG pipelines and grounding techniques.
• Cloud data, compute, and access-control services supporting AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants and GenAI applications on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform.
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using platform capabilities.
• Build live API and tool-calling integrations with client systems (SIS, ERP).
• Maintain solution architecture documentation and reusable playbooks for engagements.
• Ensure quality and security through code/config reviews and release readiness.
