Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a remote GenAI Platform Engineer to own the technical build and deployment of Gemini-based agentic solutions. You will translate backlog items into working agents, integrate RAG pipelines, and ensure production-grade quality with secure, scalable deployments on Google Cloud.

Role collaborates with Data and AgentOps teams to drive solution architecture, model selection, and integration with client systems, while upholding Nelnet's engineering standards and delivery commitments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and grounding techniques.
• Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration and A2A protocols.
• Cloud data, compute, and access-control services for AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions on Gemini Platform.
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using platform capabilities.
• Develop API integrations with client systems and maintain documentation.
