Job summary

Kapitus, Inc. is seeking a backend software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain core backend services for an internal platform.

You will work primarily with Python and Flask, leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB, while contributing to deployment pipelines in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will collaborate with stakeholders on the product roadmap, mentor junior developers, and help define scalable engineering patterns.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python experience with Flask preferred.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• 2+ years Salesforce experience.
• 3+ years building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and engineering practices for a new platform; integrate with legacy apps.
• Develop backend services in Python/Flask; implement AWS solutions.
• Maintain deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment; communicate progress and risks.
• Mentor junior developers in Python and engineering practices.
