Kapitus, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Python and Flask.

You will build scalable solutions across AWS and internal platforms, helping lending customers access payroll and equipment financing through robust software. You will collaborate with teammates to define architecture, improve deployment pipelines, and contribute to the product roadmap in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Python development experience, with Flask preferred.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• 2+ years Salesforce experience.
• 3+ years building/deploying CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong focus on code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Experience in financial services or lending is a plus.
• AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, patterns, and engineering practices for a new platform.
• Develop backend services in Python with emphasis on Flask.
• Build and integrate solutions using AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Maintain and improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align with the product roadmap in an Agile/Scrum setting.
• Partner with Tech Lead and Engineering Manager on technical decisions and scalable practices.
• Mentor junior developers on Python and engineering practices.
