Job summary

Kapitus, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software for internal customers. You will work with other developers to implement a scalable backend using Python and Flask, deploy via AWS, and contribute to architecture and coding standards.

The role emphasizes code quality, agile development practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver features that support Kapitus’ lending options for small business owners.

Qualifications

• Proven 5+ years in Python, with Flask experience preferred.
• Experience deploying backend services on AWS (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• 2+ years Salesforce experience.
• 3+ years building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Write clean, readable, well-documented code using modern practices.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture, patterns, and engineering practices for a new platform.
• Develop backend services primarily in Python, with emphasis on Flask.
• Build and integrate solutions using AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Maintain and improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align with the product roadmap in an Agile/Scrum setting.
• Mentor junior developers on Python and engineering practices.
