Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Full Stack Java Developer to support the USPS ARIS program. The role is fully remote within the United States and requires a US Public Trust background.

You will design and implement scalable Java-based applications, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native solutions on AWS, with Kubernetes, Kafka, and modern DevOps practices. Qualified candidates have 7+ years in Java and 3+ years in full stack, strong Java/J2EE/Spring expertise, Oracle DB experience, and familiarity with Playwright

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or commensurate experience.
• 7+ years in Java development and 3+ years of full stack experience.
• Expert in Java, J2EE, and Spring Framework.
• Experience with RESTful API development.
• Proficient in AWS services and cloud DevOps practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, Kafka.
• Version control with Git; Playwright testing and Jenkins CI/CD.
• Agile development experience and mainframe integration context helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Oracle databases.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven apps with Kafka.
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, and containerization.
• Support modernization, migration, and cloud adoption efforts, including legacy systems.
• Implement automated testing using Playwright; establish CI/CD with Jenkins.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment; perform code reviews and ensure quality and security.
