Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer to support the USPS ARIS program. The role is fully remote within the United States and requires US citizenship for the USPS Public Trust clearance.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java/J2EE applications, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native solutions using AWS and Kubernetes. The team operates in an Agile environment and employs automated testing with Playwright and CI/CD with Jenkins.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Java development
• Experience with J2EE and Spring
• RESTful API development
• AWS experience including EC2, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB
• Kubernetes and microservices
• Playwright and Jenkins for CI/CD
• Experience with Agile development
• Version One and Agile development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack apps using Java/J2EE, Spring, and Oracle databases
• Develop and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven apps with Kafka
• Build, deploy, and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS with Kubernetes
• Support modernization and migration including legacy integration and cloud adoption
• Implement automated testing strategies (unit, functional, regression, performance, end-to-end) with Playwright
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and DevOps best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure coding, security and performance standards
• Utilize Git and source control best practices for releases
• Communicate solutions, risks, and status to tech and non-technical stakeholders
