Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a skilled Full Stack Java Developer to support the USPS ARIS program. This fully remote role requires US citizenship and a background check for a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities include designing and building scalable full-stack apps with Java, J2EE, Spring, and Oracle; developing RESTful APIs and microservices; deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS with Kubernetes; and contributing to CI/CD with Jenkins while applying Playwright-based testing and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Java development with 3+ years in full-stack roles.
• Expert in Java, J2EE, and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Oracle DB and Hibernate in Spring.
• Proven RESTful API development expert.
• Experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, SQS, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Proficient in Kubernetes, microservices, and Kafka.
• Git version control experience.
• Playwright-based test automation and Jenkins CI/CD.
• Agile development and migration projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack apps using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Oracle.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven apps with Kafka.
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS with Kubernetes.
• Support modernization and migration including legacy integration.
• Implement automated testing (unit to end-to-end) using Playwright.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins in a DevOps culture.
• Collaborate in Agile teams and conduct code reviews.
• Communicate risks and project status to stakeholders.
