Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to support the USPS ARIS program. The role is fully remote in the United States, requiring US citizenship for Public Trust clearance. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications, build RESTful APIs and microservices, and drive cloud-native deployments on AWS with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience).
• Experience leading full stack Java development with Spring/J2EE.
• Strong background in RESTful API development and Oracle DB.
• Proficient in AWS services and DevOps practices (Jenkins).
• Experience with Playwright for test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, and Oracle DB.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven apps using Kafka.
• Build and maintain cloud-native solutions on AWS with Kubernetes and containerization.
• Support modernization, migration, and legacy integration projects.
• Implement automated testing (unit, functional, regression, performance) with Playwright.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and follow DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment and ensure code quality, security, and performance.
