Outschool is seeking full-stack Software Engineers to develop and improve our suite of products that connect parents, learners, and educators in love of learning, using an agentic-first development paradigm. Roles span from early-career SWEs to senior architects, scoped by experience and interests.

You will drive high-impact initiatives across product innovation areas, collaborate with product and design leadership, and champion AI-native development practices while guiding teams toward scalable

Qualifications

Professional software engineering experience; level determined by experience and scope.
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
Proven track record of AI-native development and leading teams into it.
For senior roles, demonstrated technical leadership and architectural decision-making.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to translate complexity for engineers, product partners, and leadership.

Responsibilities

Drive complex, high-impact engineering initiatives across product innovation areas.
Partner with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to align on roadmap priorities and tradeoffs.
Demonstrate AI-native development mindset and contribute to AI development best practices.
For senior roles, mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
Participate in standups, sprint planning, retros, deployments, and on-call rotations.
