Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the design, build, support, and implementation of the BAS web application. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.

You will work with SAP Analytics Cloud, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS to create interactive UI components, optimize performance, and collaborate in an agile environment while ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Experience with REST APIs and data formats like XML/JSON.
• Proficient in OOP/design, debugging, and Web development.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong communication skills.
• Public Trust clearance requirement and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise front-end components and applications using SAP Analytics Cloud or web tech.
• Review requirements and interface designs to implement features.
• Develop highly interactive UI/UX components and optimize front-end performance.
• Document changes and provide updates to the team.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure scalable, fast web apps.
