Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to design, build, and support the BAS SaaS, working remotely for a Washington, DC based customer and maintaining Public Trust clearance.

You will develop features using SAP Analytics Cloud and JavaScript, review designs, optimize performance, participate in code reviews, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable web applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in software engineering/web development.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, API creation/consumption, and data formats such as XML and JSON.
• Experience in OO programming/design, web development and debugging.
• Able to work independently and in collaboration with teams.
• Strong programming and communication skills.
• Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting web applications using SAC or other web technologies.
• Review requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility.
• Optimize applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and team communication.
