Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to contribute to the BAS solution for a Washington, DC-based customer. This remote role requires a Public Trust clearance.

The position emphasizes building interactive UI components with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS, and integrating SAP Analytics Cloud within enterprise planning and analytics workflows. You will review designs, optimize performance, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable web applications in a secure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (Software Engineering, Web Development) or equivalent job experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Experience with REST APIs, data formats like XML/JSON, and API consumption/creation.
• Strong OO programming/design, debugging, and web development skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAP Analytics Cloud or other web technologies.
• Review requirements and interface designs to implement features.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance and scalability.
• Document changes and provide updates to the team.
• Provide feedback on UI/UX feasibility and design choices.
• Participate in code reviews and collaboration with teammates.
