Job summary

SMX is seeking a Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to design, build, and enhance the BAS SaaS web app using SAP Analytics Cloud and standard web technologies. This remote role supports a Washington, DC based customer and requires Public Trust clearance.

You will work with a team to implement interactive UI components, optimize performance, review requirements, and participate in code reviews. US citizenship required; background verification may be conducted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field as required.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Knowledge of REST APIs, experience creating/consuming APIs with XML/JSON.
• Experience in OO programming/design and web development/debugging.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Strong programming skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Public Trust clearance requirement.
• U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other web technologies such as JavaScript.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on the feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and communicate effectively with team members.
