Job summary

SMX is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer - Front End Web Applications to design, build, and support the BAS web app. Remote role supporting a Washington, DC based customer, requiring Public Trust clearance. You will work on SAP Analytics Cloud-based features and interactive UI components.

The position emphasizes modern web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS) and collaboration across teams to deliver scalable BI and planning solutions for federal/non-profit clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent job experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience working across front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS).
• Advanced understanding of JavaScript and its intricacies.
• Experience with REST APIs, creating and consuming APIs, and handling XML/JSON data.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise planning and reporting applications using SAC or other web technologies.
• Review application requirements and interface designs.
• Develop and implement highly interactive UI/UX components.
• Monitor and improve front-end performance.
• Document application changes and updates.
• Provide feedback on the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimize web applications for scalability and speed.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with team members.
