Lever, Inc. in partnership with a German-based company seeks a Freight Audit & Billing Manager to own end-to-end carrier and customer billing remotely from Germany. You will audit invoices from major carriers, dispute incorrect charges, and ensure accurate re-billing and collections.

You will collaborate with carrier teams and a Billing Specialist, driving process improvements and automation, while shaping system requirements for developers. International exposure awaits.

Qualifikationen

• 4+ years in billing, freight audit, or finance operations.
• Experience with DHL/UPS/FedEx or freight forwarding.
• End-to-end ownership of billing workflows.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets with large datasets.
• Experience writing software requirements.
• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Structured, detail-oriented and numbers-driven.
• Mentoring or leading teammates.

Aufgaben

• Audit carrier invoices from major providers and identify errors.
• Dispute charges, track disputes, and secure credits.
• Re-bill legitimate charges to customers and prevent uncollected costs.
• Manage customer-side billing, credits, and collections.
• Coordinate with carrier teams and stakeholders; support rate negotiations.
• Define billing module requirements for developers; test and implement.
• Support automation of invoice imports, audit rules, and reconciliations.
• Guide the Billing Specialist and review daily output.
• Document processes for consistency and scalability.
• Prepare monthly reports for the Managing Director on audits and recoveries.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline workflows.
