Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Manager, Freight Audit Services to build and operate a client-facing freight audit program. You will oversee onboarding, audits, and disputes, while shaping the service with AI-enabled workflows and close collaboration with Product and Engineering.

The role requires strong ops leadership, data-driven decision making, and the ability to manage growing teams as the service scales. This position is based in Atlanta and emphasizes customer value and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, logistics, or financial operations.
• Ability to solve unfamiliar problems with judgment.
• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented data reconciliation.
• Clear client communication and handling sensitive issues.
• Leadership experience managing people or cross-team projects.
• Ability to learn freight contracts, billing, and audit procedures.
• Hands-on experience using AI to improve workflows.
• Knowledge of AI risks and when human review is needed.

Responsibilities

• Launch the service, establish procedures, quality checks, and escalation paths.
• Lead client onboarding: gather contracts, invoices, and shipment data.
• Run daily audit delivery: check invoices against rates and records.
• Manage carrier disputes and billing corrections with evidence.
• Be the operational point of contact for clients and explain findings.
• Hire, train, and develop the team as demand grows.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define requirements.
• Test AI-assisted workflows for extracting invoice data and verify accuracy.
• Support Sales with scoping and pricing input.
• Track onboarding time, audit turnaround, and profitability to drive improvements.
