Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineering Leader to join the Flight Deck Industrial Engineering Group. You will drive lean transformations, standardize capacity utilization, and optimize material flow across multiple shop operations and part families.

Expect up to 60% travel to support cross-functional teams. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, 5+ years of lean experience, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience facilitating lean transformations in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced competency in Industrial Engineering methods and Lean tools, and coach associates in Lean (Flight Deck) principles.
• Partner, develop and execute standard Capacity Utilization process with Operations, Flight Deck and IE Leaders.
• Improve workflow by studying process flow charts, modifying workflow and workstations, and developing new procedures.
• Layout and workstation planning is required.
• Design, develop, and deploy manufacturing systems with emphasis on machining lines and balancing hard/soft capacity.
• Improve labor and machine utilization by studying methods, layout, and equipment changes.
• Create Standard Work and implement visual management to optimize material flow and processes.
• Share and communicate advanced IE processes to be used as Best Practice Standards across the network.
• Apply Lean Process Improvement methodologies to address complex processes and communicate benefits/risk.
• Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resources and influence others.
