Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Senior Industrial Engineering Leader to drive Lean transformations across the Flight Deck industrial engineering group and manufacturing networks. You will lead standard work, capacity utilization, and workflow improvements, partnering with shop operations and cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and asset utilization.

The role requires up to 60% travel, in-person onboarding, and a track record of delivering sustainable improvements in manufacturing and machining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years experience facilitating lean transformations in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced competency in Industrial Engineering methods and Lean tools and coach associates in Lean (Flight Deck) principles.
• Partner to develop and execute standard Capacity Utilization processes with Operations, Flight Deck and IE Leaders.
• Improve workflow by studying process flows, modify workflow and workstation layouts, and develop new procedures.
• Layout and workstation planning is essential.
• Design, develop and deploy manufacturing systems with emphasis on machining lines and balancing capacity.
• Improve labor and machine utilization by studying methods, layout, and equipment modifications.
• Create Standard Work and implement visual management to improve material flow and processes.
• Share and communicate advanced IE process flows as Best Practice Standards across the network.
• Apply Lean Process Improvement methodologies to address complex processes and develop execution plans.
• Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resources and communicate complex concepts.
