Job summary

GE Aerospace in the United States seeks a Senior Industrial Engineering Leader to advance Lean principles across FLIGHT DECK and industrial engineering teams, optimizing material flow, asset utilization, and capacity. The role requires up to 60% travel and collaboration with operations, FLIGHT DECK, and cross-functional partners.

You will develop standard work, layouts, and process improvements for machining lines, lead Kaizen events, and share best practices across the network.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience facilitating lean transformations in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Industrial Engineering degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and coach Lean methods across FLIGHT DECK and IE teams.
  • Execute standard Capacity Utilization processes with Operations and IE Leaders.
  • Improve workflow by studying processes and redesigning layouts.
  • Plan layouts and workstations.
  • Design and deploy manufacturing systems focused on machining lines and balancing capacity.
  • Improve labor and machine utilization through method study and layout changes.
  • Create Standard Work and visual management for material flow.
  • Communicate process flows as Best Practice Standards across the network.
  • Use Lean process improvement to address complex processes and communicate benefits.
  • Lead cross-functional teams with limited resources.
