GE Aerospace seeks an Senior Industrial Engineering Leader to drive lean transformations and optimize flight deck manufacturing. You will lead standard work, layout planning, and capacity utilization across shops and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes deploying advanced IE methods, Kaizen facilitation, and continuous improvement to improve flow, asset utilization, and throughput while traveling up to 60% as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Industrial Engineering Degree Preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience facilitating lean transformations in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Willing to travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advanced competency in Industrial Engineering methods and Lean tools and coach associates in Lean (FLIGHT DECK) principles.
  • Partner, develop and execute Capacity Utilization process with local Operations, FLIGHT DECK and IE Leaders.
  • Improve workflow by studying process flow charts, modify workflow and workstations, and develop new procedures.
  • Layout and workstation planning is required.
  • Design, develop, and deploy manufacturing systems with emphasis on machining lines and balancing capacity.
  • Improve labor and machine utilization by studying methods, layout, and equipment changes.
  • Create Standard Work and implement visual management to improve material flow and processes.
  • Share and communicate advanced IE processes and best practices across the manufacturing network.
  • Apply Lean Process Improvement to address complex processes and communicate benefits/risks.
  • Lead functional teams or projects with minimal resources and influence others.
