Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking a Fleet Manager for remote-ready operations with occasional travel to station locations in the USA/Canada. You will lead maintenance, planning, budgeting, and vendor coordination to ensure a safe, compliant, and reliable fleet of up to 100 motorcoaches.

You will oversee a team including in-house mechanics and coordinators, drive data-based decisions with Fleetio and Samsara, and collaborate with finance, operations, and OEM partners to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, or aviation-related roles.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain or equivalent.
• Strong data analytics with Excel; SQL/Python and BI tools are a plus.
• Experience with Fleetio, Samsara or similar fleet-management platforms is preferred.
• Comfort working remotely across multiple locations/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Own maintenance function with plan, vendors and data to scale to 100+ coaches.
• Develop rolling maintenance forecast aligned to OEM intervals.
• Manage maintenance budget with Finance and variance reporting.
• Oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance without service disruption.
• Maintain service records in Fleetio and Samsara; DVIR tracking.
• Coordinate parts procurement and validate pass-through costs.
• Lead quarterly reviews with key maintenance vendors.
• Provide real-time fleet readiness updates to SOC and leadership.
