Job summary

The Landline Company is building a scalable maintenance and fleet operations function from Fort Collins, CO. The Fleet Manager leads maintenance planning, budget oversight, and vendor coordination to keep a growing motorcoach fleet safe, compliant, and available.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, fleet operations, or related consulting
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong data and analytical skills; Excel required; SQL/Python/BI tools a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the maintenance function with plan, vendors and data; scale to a 100-motorcoach fleet
• Build and maintain a rolling maintenance forecast aligned to OEM intervals
• Maintain maintenance budget with Finance and report variances
• Coordinate unscheduled and corrective maintenance with minimal service disruption
• Keep accurate service records in Fleetio and Samsara; track DVIR and out-of-service conditions
• Manage parts and consumables procurement and pass-through costs
• Flag recurring issues and aging vehicles using maintenance data
• Serve as Landline's representative at external maintenance facilities and issue work orders
• Schedule all planned and unplanned work and ensure buses are on time
• Review partner invoices, flag discrepancies, and monitor technician usage against budget
• Plan quarterly reviews with key maintenance vendors and provide real-time fleet readiness updates
• Own Fleetio and Samsara access and IT interfaces for partners
• Plan vehicle assignments, capacity risks and additions/retirements
• Maintain vehicle files and coordinate warranties and recalls
• Advise leadership on OEM reliability and procurement strategies
• Ensure regulatory compliance and keep audit-ready records
