Job summary

The Helmsman Group LLC is seeking a Driver for a remote role within the United States. The Driver will support safe and efficient operation of the fleet, perform pre/post-trip inspections, coordinate movements, and maintain fleet records.

Responsibilities include reporting maintenance issues, ensuring vehicles are ready for service, and coordinating with Fleet Management and Operations teams to optimize utilization and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license for assigned vehicles.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) where required by position.
• 1-3 years of experience in fleet operations, driving, logistics, or vehicle operations preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle safety, inspection, and basic maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly according to schedules/routes.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify and report mechanical, safety, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Coordinate vehicle movements, pickups, deliveries, transfers and fleet activities.
• Maintain accurate vehicle mileage, fuel usage, inspection, maintenance and operating records.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled, clean, secure, and ready for service.
• Report accidents, incidents, and fleet-related events following procedures.
