Job summary

The Helmsman Group LLC is seeking a Driving professional for remote-based delivery operations in the United States. The role focuses on safe, timely transportation of products between company locations, suppliers, warehouses, and customers.

You will coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and customer service teams, verify documents, and maintain records while using GPS and electronic proof-of-delivery tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
• CDL where required by jurisdiction.
• 1–3 years of delivery/logistics or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of local and regional routes.
• Strong safety and cargo handling practices.
• Ability to load, secure, and transport goods safely.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport products, materials, equipment, and other authorized cargo to designated locations.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups accurately and within established delivery windows.
• Follow assigned routes while using GPS, navigation, and routing systems to optimize travel time and efficiency.
• Coordinate with dispatchers regarding routes, delivery schedules, traffic conditions, delays, and changes in assignments.
• Verify delivery orders, manifests, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading, and other transportation documents.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, fuel, and vehicle inspections.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical or safety concerns.
