Job summary

Affirm is hiring a VP, People Business Partners & Employee Relations to lead the global PBP and ER functions. The role reports to the CPO and sits on the People Leadership Team, shaping enterprise-wide people decisions and operating models.

You will partner with XLT on workforce strategy, build high-performing teams, and provide strategic advisory support on talent, organizational design, and risk management. This remote-first role supports the US-wide organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive People leadership experience in global tech environments.
• Experience leading a global PBP organization and high-performing teams.
• Employee Relations experience including investigations and executive matters in partnership with Legal.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with C-suite executives and maintain independent judgment.
• Deep expertise in organizational consulting, effectiveness, and strategic workforce planning.
• Strong business acumen and learning agility for complex business contexts.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, structure, and operating model for global PBP and ER functions.
• Build high-performing PBP and ER teams through talent decisions and development.
• Serve as strategic advisor to XLT on enterprise-wide talent and org decisions.
• Understand affirm's business and anticipate org implications ahead of need.
• Partner with XLT on workforce strategy and deployment of talent.
• Guide leaders through organizational change to align resources with priorities.
• Set strategy and operating model for Employee Relations globally.
