Job summary

Coinbase is a remote-first company seeking a Specialist, Market Operations to support two exchanges (CDE and Deribit) 24/7. You will troubleshoot, coordinate cross-functional resolutions, and assist deployment testing to protect production environments.

Requirements include a BA/BS in a technical field and 1+ years in financial markets operations or technical operations, with knowledge of futures/options and multi-channel support. Prior experience with Salesforce, JIRA, and SQL is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a technical field.
• 1+ years of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role.
• Demonstrated product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options.
• Experience delivering multi‑channel support (voice, email, chat).
• Familiarity with prediction markets, event contracts, FIX protocol, network protocols, SQL, or CRM tools such as Salesforce and JIRA is a plus.
• Uses generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business‑ready outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own real-time functional and technical support for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications across CDE and Deribit.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, connectivity, product schedules, and business technology.
• Provide front-line support for internal and external investigations tied to exchange operations, including error trade analysis and resolution.
• Coordinate with product and development teams to launch new products, implement platform updates, and execute deployment testing in pre-production environments.
• Support onboarding and ongoing operational enablement of clients and vendors across both exchanges, including prediction markets and event contracts listed on CDE.
• Identify, document, and recommend operational process improvements aligned with business objectives and platform growth.
