Job summary

VC3, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MN is seeking an IT Field Engineer I to provide hands-on support at client sites, installing hardware, software, and peripherals, and resolving on-site issues across workstations and printers.

You will work with VC3 technical staff on connectivity issues, follow VC3 standards, and ensure timely, clear communication to customers. The role emphasizes travel to client sites and adherence to schedules.

Qualifications

2 years of relevant technical experience, or 1 year as VC3 Service Technician I or II.
Proficient in Windows Client OS, Office 365, security, networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).

Responsibilities

Drive to client sites as scheduled while adhering to appointment schedules and promptly communicating delays.
Install and set up new computer hardware, software and peripherals.
Troubleshoot and resolve onsite issues related to workstations and printers.
Collaborate with VC3 staff on connectivity issues including ISPs, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, VPN, RDS and Citrix.
Educate and guide VC3 clients on technical standards and best practices.
Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets.
Make recommendations for improvements of supported hardware and software.
Maintain accurate timesheets and notes of troubleshooting and client communications.
