Job summary

VC3 is seeking an IT Field Engineer I for Northern Ohio to provide hands-on IT support at client sites, covering hardware, software, and network issues. Travel to customer locations is required, with internal coordination to maintain schedules and deliver timely resolutions.

You’ll collaborate with VC3 technical staff, work on connectivity problems including VPN, RDS, and Citrix, and help educate clients on tech standards while documenting troubleshooting steps for accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant technical experience OR 1 year experience in Service Technician I or II roles at VC3.
• Experience managing Windows Client Operating Systems (10/11), Office 365, Virus and Security, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites per schedule and communicate delays to the Service Coordinator.
• Install and set up computer hardware, software and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot onsite workstation and printer issues; resolve connectivity problems (VPN, RDS, Citrix).
• Educate clients on technical standards and best practices; document issues and resolutions.
• Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 3-4 months).
