Job summary

VC3, Inc. is seeking an IT Field Engineer I to provide hands-on client-site support in Vermont, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software and network issues.

You will follow VC3 standards and maintain clear communication to drive customer success and predictable results. Ideal candidates have 2 years of technical experience or 1 year in VC3 roles, with strong Windows/Microsoft 365, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, RDS or Citrix familiarity.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant technical experience OR 1 year experience in Service Technician I or II roles at VC3.
• Experience managing Windows Client OS and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, RDS and Citrix is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites as scheduled and communicate delays to the Service Coordinator.
• Install and set up new computer hardware, software and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve onsite issues related to workstations and printers.
• Collaborate with VC3 staff on connectivity issues including ISPs, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, VPN, RDS and Citrix.
• Educate clients on technical standards and best practices.
• Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets.
• Make recommendations for hardware/software improvements.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and troubleshooting notes.
• Participate in the on-call rotation (1 week every 3-4 months).
• Additional duties as assigned.
