Job summary

VC3, Inc. in Williston, VT is seeking an IT Field Engineer I to provide hands-on client-site support, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues. You will follow VC3 standards, ensure timely resolutions, and communicate clearly with customers.

The role is full-time with a hybrid workplace and occasional on-call rotation. You will install and configure devices, assist with connectivity (VPN, RDS, DNS), document steps, and collaborate with local and remote VC3 staff.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant technical experience OR 1 year in VC3 Service Technician I or II.
• 2 years experience managing Windows Client Operating Systems (Windows 10/11), Microsoft Office 365, and Virus/Security.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive to client sites as scheduled and communicate delays.
• Install and set up computer hardware, software and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot onsite workstation and printer issues.
• Collaborate with VC3 staff for connectivity issues including VPN, RDS and Citrix.
• Educate clients on technical standards and best practices.
• Identify recurring issues and initiate problem tickets.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and notes of troubleshooting.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
