Job summary

Modern Family Law is seeking a Family Law Paralegal for our Austin, TX office to work directly with attorneys on divorce, child custody, property division and support matters. This role carries a caseload and drafts filings to move matters forward, with a focus on client communication and timely, accurate work.

Remote-first, with office space available; you will learn a modern tech stack including NetDocuments, Salesforce, TimeSolv, and Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting filings and managing a family law caseload.
• Ability to draft Petitions, Summons, Case Information Sheets, Notices and Motions to Withdraw.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of family law matters from hire through resolution alongside multiple attorneys.
• Draft and prepare filings; e-file with county court systems and track status.
• Own deadlines: calendars, filing dates, and court requirements.
• Talk to clients, answer questions, and follow up promptly.
• Keep matters clean and organized so any file can be opened and understood.
• Collaborate with attorneys as a trusted team member.
