Modern Family Law, a national family law firm active in 16 cities, seeks a Family Law Paralegal for its Denver, CO office to handle divorce, custody, and support matters. You will manage your own caseload, draft filings, and communicate with clients under attorney supervision.

The role emphasizes ownership, proactive communication, and ethical billable practices, with a remote-first environment and in-person court or client work as needed.

Qualifications

• Family law experience preferred; ability to draft filings and manage deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and attorneys.
• Proficient in e-filing across county court systems.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a law firm.
• Accurate, contemporaneous timekeeping for billable work.
• High attention to detail and organized file management.
• Collaborative mindset and proactive communication with the team.

Responsabilités

• Carry a caseload of family law matters from hire through resolution with attorneys.
• Draft and prepare filings: Petitions, Summons, Case Info Sheets, and Motions.
• E-file with county courts and track case status in portals and systems.
• Own deadlines and calendars; ensure timely filings and updates.
• Talk to clients and follow up; treat clients with care during emotional times.
• Keep matters clean and up-to-date; work with attorneys as a colleague.
