Modern Family Law in Petaluma, CA seeks a Family Law Paralegal to manage a personal caseload, draft filings, and work closely with attorneys on divorce, custody, and support matters. This is a remote-first role with in-person court and client interactions as required.

You will handle deadlines, client communications, and meticulous document organization while supporting multiple attorneys and maintaining ethical billable practices. A strong tech stack is used daily.

Qualifikationen

• Family law experience required; ability to draft cleanly and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in e-filing with county courts and portals.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a law firm.
• Capable of accurately capturing billable work with client-facing narratives.
• High attention to detail and ability to stay organized with busy matters.
• Collaborative mindset; works well with attorneys as a teammate.

Aufgaben

• Carry a caseload of family law matters from hire to resolution with attorneys.
• Draft and file Petitions, Summons, Case Info Sheets, Notices and Motions; e-file and track status.
• Own deadlines; manage calendars and court requirements to avoid lateness.
• Communicate with clients, addressing questions and following up as needed.
• Keep files current and organized for quick review by any team member.
• Collaborate with attorneys, anticipating needs and coordinating workflow.
