Job summary

EEI, an employee-owned facility and energy consulting leader, seeks a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning, QA, and performance testing for critical facilities including data centers and healthcare environments. You will oversee planning, design review, testing, and turnover while managing budgets, schedules, resources, and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of commissioning, project management, building systems, controls, or similar high-reliability environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, and client relationships across concurrent projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning projects through planning, design, construction, testing, and closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and overall project performance.
• Serve as the primary client contact for project stakeholders.
• Lead startup verification, functional testing, and integrated systems testing.
• Review design documents and sequences of operation for alignment with objectives.
• Identify risks, address issues, and keep projects moving forward.
• Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement.
