Job summary

EEI, an employee-owned firm, seeks a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning, QA, and testing for data centers, healthcare facilities, and other high-reliability environments.

You will oversee planning, design review, testing, and turnover, while managing budgets, schedules, and client relationships. Hybrid work and frequent site visits are expected, with opportunity to mentor teams and advance EEI's reputation for technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years of commissioning and project management experience in high-reliability environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, controls, and building automation systems.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, and client relationships across multiple projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; able to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with meetings and stakeholder relations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
• United States work authorization for full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning projects through planning, design, construction, testing, and closeout.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and overall project performance.
• Be the primary client contact for contractors, design teams, and stakeholders.
• Lead startup verification, functional and integrated systems testing and troubleshooting.
• Review design documents, specs, submittals, and sequences of operation to align with objectives.
• Identify risks, manage issues, and develop solutions to keep projects moving.
• Mentor and support junior commissioning staff and promote EEI's technical excellence.
