Job summary

EEI is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning, QA, and performance testing for data centers, healthcare facilities, and other high-reliability environments. You will manage planning, design reviews, testing, and turnover while guiding budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving, with travel up

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commissioning, project management, building systems, controls, construction, healthcare, laboratory, mission-critical, or high-reliability environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, controls, and building automation systems.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, client relationships, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with collaboration abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting technical information.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning projects through planning, design, construction, testing, and project closeout.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and overall project performance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, design teams, and project stakeholders.
• Lead commissioning activities including startup verification, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, and troubleshooting.
• Review design documents, specifications, submittals, and sequences of operation to align with objectives.
• Identify project risks, manage issues, and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
• Mentor and support junior commissioning staff while contributing to EEI's culture of excellence.
