Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Security Systems & Fire/Life Safety Estimating Coordinator. The role focuses on preparing cost estimates and proposals for ITM services on access control, CCTV, fire alarm, sprinkler systems and related fire protection equipment.

You will work with field personnel and client services to identify correct solutions, ensure code compliance, and maintain operability. This is a home-based, virtual role with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-5 years estimating experience
• 4+ years experience with Fire/Life Safety or Commercial Security Systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and proposals for ITM services on Commercial/Industrial Security Systems and Fire Protection Equipment
• Determine the correct solution meeting customer needs while ensuring code compliance and operability
• Prepare proposals with supporting cost estimates
• Send proposals to customers and field personnel based on workflow and code requirements
• Track and follow up on customer correspondence to secure approvals
• Coordinate with supervisor and team to identify sources and costs for parts and services
• Prepare turnover documentation for local service coordinators
• Track and maintain assigned proposals and purchase orders
• Report unresponsive customers or delayed approvals for escalation
• Provide feedback to streamline processes and improve throughput
• Deliver outstanding customer service and support
