Job summary

Kaplan is seeking a Financial Aid Officer to determine eligibility and award aid across grants, loans, and other sources, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. The role also handles Title IV verification, documentation review, and excess funds scheduling.

Responsibilities include drop evaluations, resolving complex financial aid issues, and coordinating with teammates and other departments. This is a full-time, remote-friendly position with start date January 11, 2027 and a salary

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility and accurately award aid following established guidelines for all fund sources including grants, loans, tuition assistance, military sources, etc.
• Accurately assess and approve documentation related to Title IV Verification, C Code, and other requirements.
• Calculate and schedule excess funding to be returned to a student, lender, or other source.
• Complete drop evaluations, including the Return to Title IV calculation, for students that cease attending.
• Manage complex financial aid issues and troubleshoot potential problems.
• Review and adjust accounts as needed.
• Coordinate with team members, leaders, and other departments as needed.
• Maintain minimum job performance standards, including quality, production, cohort management, etc.
• Other duties as assigned
