Job summary

Kaplan is seeking a Student Finance Coordinator to help students understand their financial obligations, explain aid packaging, and guide payment options. You will handle inbound/outbound calls and emails, review aid eligibility, and assist with loan planning and disbursements.

The role is remote nationwide, with a Mon-Thu 11am-8pm ET schedule and a start date of January 11, 2027. Kaplan offers a comprehensive benefits package including retirement contributions and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
• 1+ years' experience in Financial Aid, Student Accounts, or similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Google Apps
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good organizational skills, good customer service, attention to detail and problem solving
• Must be in and maintain good standing with any student loan debt.

Responsibilities

• Provide inbound and outbound support to students via telephone, email or other media forms in response to a student's aid package being complete or a package adjustment.
• Perform Financial Readiness Call, Package Review Call, or Out of School Account Review Call.
• Walkthrough of the award letter to prospective and continuing students, explaining how much tuition is covered by funding sources and any student cash payment.
• Review applications and documents for Title IV eligibility per DOE requirements, including loan overlap and aggregate loan limits.
• Review loan eligibility and discuss continued loans as it applies to annual and aggregate loan limits.
• Provide information to assist determining ability to pay student loan debt.
• Assess remaining financial obligations at term end and determine need for student payments.
• Assess and report on students' ability to pay.
• Answer inbound billing calls.
• May package enrolled students and update award letters as needed.
