Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts seeks a Full-time Financial Aid Advisor - Compliance for an Online/Remote role. The position ensures federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs are administered in compliance with Title IV and institutional policies.

Training duties include onboarding new staff and providing ongoing development. The ideal candidate has an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred), at least 2 years in financial aid or student services, and solid knowledge of Title IV

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial aid, higher education administration, compliance, or student services.
• Working knowledge of Title IV federal financial aid regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review FAFSA applications, verification documents, and supporting records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with Title IV regulations, institutional policies, and federal and state requirements.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation within applicable systems.
• Assist with audits, program reviews, and compliance reporting activities.
• Stay informed of regulatory changes affecting financial aid administration and student eligibility.
• Process and support Veteran Affairs educational benefits and related compliance requirements.
• Participate in quality assurance reviews to identify processing errors and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct new hire training, and provide ongoing staff training to support employee development, maintain performance standards, and ensure compliance with institutional, federal and state policies and procedures.
• Maintain current knowledge of federal financial aid regulations through ongoing training and professional development.
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
