Job summary

ATS Institute of Technology is seeking an experienced Financial Aid Advisor to help students understand their funding options and complete the financial aid process.

In a fully remote role, you will support students through phone calls, email, and virtual appointments, manage an assigned student caseload, explain financial responsibilities clearly, and follow through on outstanding requirements to keep student files moving forward.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in financial aid or finance.
• Strong problem-solving and active listening skills.
• Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Advise Students: Explain financial aid options, FAFSA requirements, grants, scholarships, and student loans.
• Prepare Financial Estimates: Help students understand available funding, out-of-pocket costs, and payment plans.
• Follow Through: Contact students regularly to collect documents, resolve outstanding requirements, and meet deadlines.
• Maintain Accurate Records: Review financial aid information and keep student files complete, organized, and confidential.
• Support Compliance: Apply financial aid regulations and institutional policies in daily advising and documentation.
• Coordinate Across Teams: Partner with admissions and student services to address student needs and support enrollment.
• Support Campus Activities: Present financial aid information at orientations and participate in school events.
